Challenge
After 100 years of advocating agriculture in the States, the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture celebrated with a modernization of their strategic mission and vision. Their 25-page presentation culled together the steps through which their organization would reach new heights in effectiveness. Rather than ask its membership, partners and government representatives to leaf through that document, the forward-thinking NASDA commissioned this video to tell the story of its goals and inspire people to get involved.
Solution
After storyboarding out a series of scenes, the artist fine-tuned the transitions and brought in the audio. We even used the current CEO’s voice for the narration. The result is a short, easy-to-understand explainer video that captures the attention of a wide range of audience types. We even incorporated the association’s logo colors into the palette used for the animations. Our client was thrilled with the results, which are being unveiled at their annual conference.
100th Anniversary
Following the success of the NASDA strategic plan video, Sutter Group was selected to develop a new 6-minute video, highlighting all of the achievements NASDA has made over the last 100 years. For this project, we were asked to design a 100th Anniversary logo that was to be used in the video, at the conference, and in display signage that spanned 30 feet across and sat behind the main podium during the meeting.
The video’s content centered around one-on-one interviews with NASDA State Department of Agriculture members, who were in attendance at their yearly meeting here in Washington DC and featured a combination of the interview footage, b-roll footage that was shot locally at two Maryland farms, and graphic elements, in order to explain NASDA’s mission and accomplishments.
